This banana bread recipe couldn't be easier and is perfect for baking novices. It might actually be the easiest banana cake ever.
Take all the ingredients and tip into the food processor. Then just whiz until you have a smooth batter. Pour into your prepared baking tin and then just bake for an hour.
The riper the bananas, the better the flavour. We've decorated ours with banana chips, but if you don't have them, no problem. It will still be delicious.

In a food processor, whiz 125ml (4fl oz) sunflower oil, 200g (7oz) caster sugar, 2 large eggs, 1tsp vanilla extract, 3 mashed ripe bananas, 175g (6oz) plain flour, 1tsp bicarbonate of soda and ½tsp ground cinnamon, then turn into a lined 900g (2lb) loaf tin, sprinkle with dried banana chips (optional).
Bake at 180°C (160°C fan) mark 4 for about 1hr, drizzling with glacé icing when cooled, if you like.
