Scrambled eggs are staple for many morning breakfasts - quick, cheap and extremely tasty, but velvety eggs can be extremely hard to master.
Whether its using fridge-cold eggs, salting before or after or a dash of cream, everyone has their own tips and tricks to succeed in making the best eggs.
But now worldwide star and multi-Michelin starred chef Gordon Ramsey has chipped in with his one ingredient that can make all the difference - and it doesn't break the bank costing less than a pound.
He insists the key to perfect eggs is ensuring they don't overcook, with the addition of creme fraiche right at the end bringing the temperature down and adding more depth to the eggs.
The Hell's Kitchen star said: "The creme fraiche cools the scrambled eggs down, now the gas is off lightly season, and the eggs will be light and fluffy."
The addition of the cold dairy product helps to manage the heat and ensure they're not overcooked. While cooking the eggs Ramsey has another tip to help manage the heat.
His golden rule here is to move the pan on and off the heat, he recommends roughly 30 seconds on the hob and 30 seconds off, stirring all the time to whip air into the mixture and make them light and fluffy.
All seasoning has to happen right at the very end of the process according to Gordon, as salt can break down the egg and make it watery if introduced too early on.
Ramsey's specefic recipe uses six eggs, 15g of butter, salt and pepper and chives to garnish.
The chef adds: "They're scrambled eggs to die for. Finally, finish with a little smidgen of chopped chives".
Creme fraiche is a cheap extra ingredient that is widely available in most supermarkets in the dairy section costing as little as 70p.
One viewer wrote: "To everyone who is hesitant to try this because they are "too runny" just cook them a little longer until they're a consistency you're happy with.
"They're still amazeballs when 'overcooked' by Ramsay's standards. I seriously won't cook scrambled eggs another way now that I've tried this."
"For the first time in my life I made eggs this way and my God they were phenomenal! So smooth and delicious," wrote another viewer.
