HEINZ'S NEW EASTER MAYO FLAVOUR IS SERIOUSLY WACKY

Heinz is well known for their slightly mad mayonnaise flavours, but their recent launch really takes the biscuit. Or should we say, bun.

Heinz has today launched a hot cross bun flavoured mayonnaise, and we've never seen anything quite like it. Made from rich and creamy Heinz mayo, actual toasted hot cross bun pieces, sweet cinnamon spices and real fruit pieces, it's a real mix of flavours.

The mayo experts at Heinz also suggest actually spreading the mayo on a hot cross bun too, which just feels plain wrong to us. What ever happened to just lovely salty butter?!

Katharina Kern, Brand Manager at Heinz, said of the new flavour: "From delicious chocolate orange to crème egg, people love Heinz’s sweet mayo combos as much as we love inventing new, eggs-citing products for our customers. So, to wish everyone a very hoppy Easter this year, we’re giving 100 lucky winners the chance to get their hands on our Heinz [Seriously] Good Hot Cross Bun Mayo.”

That's right - the mayo is so limited edition that you can't buy it in the shops. You have to head to the competition website page and enter by 2nd April 2023 to be in with the chance of getting your hands on a jar of the unusual stuff.

Fans are pretty divided when it comes to reacting to the new flavour, with some branding the hot cross bun flavoured sauce as "absolutely disgusting," but others keen to get a jar, saying they were happy to have won one.

There are only 100 jars available, so if you're feeling brave you'd better be quick!
