One of Preston's most popular bars is launching a new pie menu. The new menu at Plau Bar & Bistro will see options such as pork belly vindaloo, beef shin and ale, fish, and pumpkin and walnut, served with either mash, chips or salad, along with gravy.
The price will be £10 offering the people of Preston a delicious and affordable lunch. The first day of the menu being available to customers will be today (March 16).
The pie menu will be available in the bar area of Plau from 12pm until late Wednesday to Saturday and will complement the dining room offering with a more casual and quick option.

Plau Bar & Bistro, inside a grade II listed and lovingly restored historic building on Friargate, now shares its management team with popular restaurant Fino Tapas, which was first opened by Mark O’Rourke in Preston in 2018. Mark said: “We want Plau to be a place where you can come and eat great food and sometimes that means sitting in the bar and having one of the best pies you’ve ever tasted.
“We’re super proud of these pies whether people want something more traditional like the steak & ale or want to be more adventurous. We can’t wait to see what people think of them.”
Plau Bar & Bistro, inside a grade II listed and lovingly restored historic building on Friargate, now shares its management team with popular Preston restaurant Fino Tapas. The previous owners moved on to new projects and knew they had a team they could trust.
The building, which was a well-known Preston pub, The Plough Inn from 1795 until 1913, was restored over several years from 2014 to 2018 and is widely-regarded as one of the most welcoming spots in the city.
